Introduction

The first issue most customers have is getting documents into our apps. The Help text below will tell you how to easily import TIFF, Fax or PDF files.

If this Help site does not answer your questions, or if you are experiencing problems using our apps, or working with your documents, please email us via the Email Support button on the Help Screen.

Please note we cannot answer, or respond to questions asked in Apple's iTunes Reviews. Please email us instead. We never close.

Signature & Annotation

This feature is an additional in-app purchase, if not purchased a prompt is shown on the first screen in green, or red if you do not have a workable internet connection to the Apple store. Once purchased the prompt is not shown. These features are described here.

Screens

Each of the screens is described here.

The performance & behaviour of each app can be adjusted to meet your specific needs. You can do this on the Settings screen.

General Issues

My TIFF becomes a JPEG. I can only see page one.

Due to privacy concerns, Apple will not display the TIFF file. Go to Settings: App > General > Location Services. Turn Location Services ON and turn ON any of our apps – e.g. Large Viewer [ON]. Then import the document again.

On the iPad, the Document Preview Screen will show "public.jpeg" at the bottom. It should read "public.tiff."

Your app is not listed in the ‘Open With’ menu.

Tap & slide to show all the choices. Keep in mind iOS 5 will only show 10 apps.

What about Mail, make PDF, Mail a page, rotation, bookmarks and folders?

Most screens have an Action Icon at the top right. Tap to explore features. For more information, see Actions.

I Need to sign my TIFF or PDF and email it to someone.

3.0 versions of our products support this feature.

PDF Files

If you have PDF files in iBooks or in the iTunes Books folder, you must copy them into our app by:

(a) Move your files into Dropbox.

(b) Email your PDF files to an email account on your device.

(c) Use iTunes on your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4094).

(d) Tap & hold, then copy via the Open With menu.

(e) Some apps may have an Action arrow to copy documents.

Note that Apple makes it difficult to move documents out of iBooks. You are welcome to ask Apple to make this easier.

Other file types are generally supported by Apple's Open With popup menu option.

TIFF Files

Where is my FAX / TIFF / TIF document? Apple Mail only shows page one.

If you can see the first page of your fax in the Mail App, follow these steps:

Tap & hold. Choose Copy. Open the app. Choose Import from Clipboard. If this does not work, go back and choose Save Image. Then open the app and choose Import from Photo Library

If neither of these steps work and you see a small blue icon with a white question mark, tap the Forward arrow in the toolbar. Choose Save Image. Now tap Cancel. Open the app and choose Import from Photo Library.

No valid document yet? In Mail, tap the Forward arrow to forward the email. At Include attachments from original message?, choose Yes. Then tap Cancel. Now tap the Forward arrow again and choose Save Image. Tap Cancel. Open the app and choose Import from Photo Library.

Still a problem? Email us or see Import Questions for more information on dealing with difficult documents. Occasionally fax servers will give you a JPEG of the first page, not the actual fax. Again, emailing us for support can resolve any issues with importing your documents.
